Former pupil and member of The Oars, Brian Morrissey, recently had the honour of performing with international superstar Robbie Williams at Croke Park.
Originally from Nenagh, Co. Tipperary and now based in Cork, Brian is recognised as one of Ireland’s leading banjo, whistle and bodhrán players.
Brian is a respected performer and educator, and has collaborated with renowned artists including Buille, John Spillane, Carmina, The Vallely Brothers Big Band, Donal Lunny, and Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin. His playing is also featured on numerous acclaimed recordings.
Alongside performing, Brian has lectured in Irish Traditional Music at the University of Limerick and currently teaches in Cork. He also established 'Pulses of Tradition' and 'The Lee Sessions' in Cork.
His appearance with Robbie Williams marks another milestone in a career that bridges Irish tradition with international stages.
